Cute Couple Alert! Frances McDormand and Joel Coen
Frances McDormand has won two Academy Awards, two Primetime Emmy Awards, and a Tony Award.
You may recognize her from such roles in films like Three Billboards, Fargo, Madeline, Almost Famous, Burn After Reading, and many, many more. You may also recognize her from her inclusion rider remarks at the 2018 Oscars in which she advocated for more diversity for film cast and crews.
Joel Coen is one half of the infamous Coen Brothers, the creators behind the films Fargo, No Country for Old Men, Oh Brother Where Art Thou, True Grit, The Big Lebowski, and many others.
They met in the 80s when McDormand was auditioning for Blood Simple, the Coen Brother’s first major film which also turned out to be McDormand’s first major film debut. That began the relationship and ongoing collaborations for the two creatives, and in 1984 they got married.
